Create an entitlement instance

Entitlement instances are assigned to organizations to show which services and benefits each organization has access to.

Entitlements can automatically configure downstream systems to apply correct service levels that are centrally controlled through Iris.

Create a new entitlement instance

  1. Go to Organizations
  2. Locate the organization to which you would like to add a new entitlement instance.
  3. Click the Bell icon to open the Manage Entitlement Instances page.
  4. Click + Add Entitlement Instance. The Select Entitlement Definition page opens.
  5. In the Entitlement Definition dropdown, select the entitlement definition you want to use for this assignment. Click Create Instance.
  6. Set the Start Date and optional End Date. Leave End Date blank for a perpetual entitlement.
  7. Add Notes for this entitlement if required, e.g. “30 day trial”.

The rest of the tabs contain facets for this entitlement definition. Populate them to ensure that the entitlement instance is configured for this specific client.

Click Save. The entitlement instance is created.
